Abstract del producto
This chapter aims to conduct a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) about Use‐Value Assessment (UVA), land development, and irrigation investment aiming to biofuelproduction (bioethanol). Our objective is to present a summary of its current status. Inorder to perform it, Elsevier and Clarivate databases were used (last 25 years) and theresults were summarized in 5 thematic axes. Considering the results, UVA has risenexponentially as the main theme in the studies. However, preferential tax policies foragricultural land, measured via irrigation investment to biofuel production, has not beenexplored by the scientific literature yet. Finally, studies converge to guarantee energysecurity without affecting food security. Thus, irrigation technologies which save waterare recommended in order to guarantee quality of the irrigation investment for biofuelproduction, giving priority to the rainfed crops. This way, productivity will increase andthe potential demand of land for food production could be reduced.
